Lakeview Has New Talent!
"Being a chef is all I've ever done and it's all I want to do. We want to put meals on the table that are nutritious, flavorful and appealing; a combination of what people may have cooked in their homes and experienced at their favorite restaurant."
Cary comes to us with over 25 years of culinary experience, 20 of which was as a chef manager in the fine dining arena. He was born and raised in Texas where he also met his wife, Pam, in 2010. He attended culinary school at the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon and went on to complete an internship at the prestigious Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park. Interning at this specific location was integral to Cary's training but also fueled his passion for the culinary arts. He was able to work with international chefs and had the opportunity to work with the world renowned Chef Roland Henin, one of less than 60 master chefs in the entire United States. It wasn't until he and Pam moved to Michigan in 2017 that he discovered his passion for working with seniors right here at Lakeview Assisted Living! He returned to the restaurant world for a brief time but we are thrilled to have him back . His attention to the finer details of food preparation and efforts to make dining a true experience will translate into positive things to come for the residents.
